Who We Are
Ascend Consulting and Educational Services offer guidance to Pakistani students in international education. As an experienced and dedicated team of experts, we can help you turn your dreams into reality. Our mission is to help students in their educational journey to achieve lifelong learning and career aspirations. We offer a host of services in international education. We assist students in studying at foreign universities by connecting them with the right program at the right university in the right country. Our core activities include students’ placement in foreign colleges/universities, career counseling, coaching/mentoring, and developing soft skills. We are committed to delivering top-class services to prospective students. We also run online, English language and business English classes for students. These courses are taught by native English experts, based in the UK, Europe, and North America.

Executive Director
Dr. Sayyed Adnan Shabbir
Dr. Adnan is a passionate and dedicated educator with a robust teaching portfolio, industry experience, and research background. His professional career spans over 39 years, with the last 25 years as a full-time university academic. Dr. Adnan earned his MBA from the University of Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan in 1986 with a marketing major. He did an MPhil from the University of Wales, UK and a PhD in management sciences from the International Islamic University. During his teaching career, he has successfully supervised and produced 17 MS students and has authored numerous research papers. In addition, he also mentored hundreds of students, helping them realize their true potential and reach their goals. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). In addition, he is also a member of Principles for Responsible Management Education (UNPRME) WG on Sustainability Mindset, a network of 300 members representing 49 countries. Dr. Adnan also serves as a reviewer for international and local research journals.

Sarah Spicer
Sarah is a Business English Coach based in the Northwest of the UK. She helps professionals and business owners to communicate more effectively and confidently in English so they can achieve their dream career or grow their business. With over 17 years experience as an English teacher in Thailand, Japan, and the UK; she has helped people from all over the world to achieve their goals in English. She has a first-hand experience of growing a business as well as a deep understanding of both the linguistic and cultural skills required to succeed.
ESL Coach
Dr. Patricia A. Wouters
Based in Wisconsin, USA, Dr. Patricia is an experienced ESL teacher with over 36 years of experience. She has worked with international students at public and private educational institutions in the USA, Japan, and Australia. In her last assignment, she served as the Director of ESL for Lutheran High School Association of Greater Milwaukee. She also served as the Concordia University’s online Advisor for ESL/Bilingual undergrad/grad teacher education programs. In her current role, she provides professional development, lectures, and private lessons to companies and individuals on wide range of topics such as culture, ESL, improving the academic success of international students.
Project Management Expert
Vanja Madzgalj
Vanja is a dynamic professional with over 25 years experience in leadership, programme design, and project management. She is based in Montenegro and possess extensive expertise in designing, developing, and managing innovative projects spanning education, culture, creative industries, and public administration. Vanja was honoured with the Most Excellent Order of British Empire (MBE) by Queen Elizabeth II in 2018 in recognition of her services and excellence.
Soft Skills Coach
Mohammad Haroon
Mr. Mohammad Haroon brings with him over three decades of diverse experience in two of the most dynamic and vibrant industries, i.e., Oil and Telecommunications.
A Certified Director from the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance, his corporate experience includes serving both the private and public sector listed companies at the Board level. Currently, he is serving as an Independent Director on the Boards of:
1. Attock Cement Pakistan Limited,
2. Attock Refinery Limited.
He has also served on the Board of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited.
Earlier, he had a long prolific association with the “Attock Oil Group”.
He has extensive experience in the ‘Downstream” sector of the oil industry. He has the honor of being one of the primary members of the team that established “Attock Petroleum Limited”, which is, currently, one of the largest and best performing Oil Marketing Companies in Pakistan.
Mr. Haroon was also involved in a number of marketing and customer care related initiatives for a Telecom company in Pakistan.
During his professional career, he has worked in challenging, diverse, multi-cultural environments, gaining considerable exposure to both corporate environment and regional set-ups at a senior level.
He has done Masters in Business Administration and attended a number of management courses in Pakistan and abroad.
